The Gastro Intestinal Surgery Team at Yatharth Hospitals provides quaternary level surgical care for patients with Gastroenterological diseases. The team has experienced and trained GI surgeons delivering advanced minimally Invasive laparoscopic and conventional surgeries for treating GI cancers and other complex diseases of the abdomen. The Minimally Invasive Laparoscopic surgery approach means safer operations with less pain, fewer wound infections, shorter hospital stay and early return to work and productive life. The Gastro Intestinal Surgery Team has advanced skill to deliver comprehensive treatment for many complex abdominal operations.

Various surgeries performed at Centre include Laparoscopic Hernia surgeries (TEP/ E-TEP/ RS-TAPP, TAPP/IPOM, IPOM plus/ Lap SCOLA, Abdominal wall Reconstruction), Laparoscopic and open Colorectal surgeries  (Lap right & left Colectomy, Laparoscopic anterior resection/ Total colectomy, Lap TME, Lap TPC), Upper Gastro intestinal surgery (Laparoscopy surgery for Stomach and oesophageal cancer, Hiatus hernia and diaphragmatic hernia surgeries , Advanced laparoscopic /open surgeries (for Trauma or acute abdominal conditions) and various billiary, liver and pancreatic surgeries. 

 

The Liver Transplant and Hepato-Pancreato Biliary Surgery department is a state-of-the-art facility with the latest infrastructure. The facility has the most well-equipped Liver Transplant ICU with a separate AHU for each bed, reducing the risk of infection to the minimum. The Centre has one of the most experienced and trained transplant teams in the region and offers deceased donor as well as living donor liver transplantation under one roof.
