Staying always ahead in the technology curve, Yatharth Group of Hospitals recently installed Da Vinci Surgical Robot and Cuvis Orthopaedic Robot at its Faridabad hospital. This is group’s third hospital to have robotic surgery program after Noida Extension and Greater Noida hospitals. The Da Vinci Robot can assist surgeons in intervention in gynecology, urology, oncology, cardiology, gastroenterology and others. Cuvis Orthopaedic Robot aids orthopaedic surgeons in performing joint replacement surgeries with unparalled precision and quicker recovery for patients.
Expert Team of doctors at Yatharth Super Speciality Hospital, Faridabad conducted successful gynaecological robotic surgery to remove tumours from uterus of an elderly female patient using the advanced Da Vinci Robot. The elderly female was suffering from severe pain and bleeding, and was diagnosed with tumor in uterus. Doctors at Yatharth Hospital opted for robotic assisted surgery over traditional procedure because it offers considerable advantages for patient including minimizing the tissue trauma, risk of complications, pain, blood loss, and visible scarring.
The robotic surgery was conducted jointly by Dr. Chanchal Gupta, Senior Consultant & HOD – Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Yatharth Hospital, Faridabad and Dr. Jyoti Mishra, Director & HOD-Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Yatharth Hospital, Noida Extension.
Commenting on this milestone achievement, Mr. Yatharth Tyagi, Director - Yatharth Group of Hospitals, said, "At Yatharth Hospitals, the patient is always at the center of every clinical and technological capability we build. With the integration of cutting-edge robotics like the Da Vinci & Cuvis Robots, we are now able to help our surgeons perform even the most complex procedures with greater precision and customization to each patient’s unique pathology. As we continue adopting best-in-class technologies, even more patients with serious conditions can confidently turn to Yatharth Hospitals for the most advanced, evidence-based care personalized to their needs.”
“Robotic surgeries have many advantages for both patients and doctors. The da Vinci system allows surgeons to visualize anatomy in 3D, previously out of reach, and operate through tiny ports rather than large incisions. Blood loss is minimized from copious to barely a trickle. Patients gain strength in hours versus days after open surgery”, said Dr. Chachal Gupta.
Since the robot offers very precise movements and enhanced wrist movements it can be the procedure of choice in surgeries done for cancers of uterine endometrium, cervix, ovaries and tubes which need greater tissue dissection and more precise hand movements.
With the introduction of robotic surgery, Yatharth Hospital aims to expand access to advanced minimally invasive treatment options across Delhi-NCR. The ability to treat complex conditions including cancers with greater precision while minimizing patient risk establishes robotic surgery as an invaluable healthcare technology going forward.
